The South Stockton Boulevard commercial corridor on Thursday will be the site of the region’s latest business walk.
The city of Sacramento, the newly formed Greater Sacramento Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce and the Stockton Boulevard Partnership will hold the business walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Little Saigon area, a statement said.
More than 40 business walk participants will visit 200 small businesses within Little Saigon, an area of southeast Asian businesses. Volunteers will provide information about various business resources, including water and energy saving devices and cost saving programs for energy and water services.
The South Stockton Boulevard business walk is part of the city’s economic development business visit program in which the city reaches out to businesses in key commercial corridors. Last year the program conducted six business walks through which more than 850 businesses were contacted.
This is one of four walks planned for this year, the statement said.
The city will use the information collected in the business walk to develop strategies to assist the businesses.
