The mission of the Greater Sacramento Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce (GSVACC) is to promote business and economic growth opportunities for its diverse members and to serve as a regional catalyst to make positive impacts to the community’s health and economic well being.
One of the primary goals of the GSVACC in the long run is to develop the local Vietnamese community by helping develop the connections and business pathways in Little Saigon. By “Paying It Forward” and investing effort, energy, and resources in order to build a strong business community in South Sacramento and specifically in the newly nationally recognized “Little Saigon”, GSVACC is committed to making a very significant difference in this community. Volunteers and business members can directly and indirectly benefit as a result of helping and supporting the goals of local businesses and individual business owners. We strive to be able to pull together talented individuals and businesses that want to make a significant positive difference in the Vietnamese community. By working together and creating a resource for the Vietnamese Asian community, the net effect could help those involved in this endeavor directly grow their own business while having a lasting impact on this community.
Promoting Our Members
Here at GSVACC, we represent and promote the interests of our members. On-going investments and leveraging resources to enhance entrepreneurship development and promote economic vitalization in the community is encouraged.
We provide members with Networking Opportunities such as business mixers, ribbon cutting ceremonies, career and business expo, and the Annual Gala event. GSVACC also facilitates Business to Business referrals for its members. In addition, members and buinesses are promoted through a public Membership Business Directory and a professional web site, which enhances the visibility of GSVACC.
GSVACC provides Learning and Development Opportunities for members through workshops and seminars relating to small businesses such as marketing, sales, management, finance, etc.
The Chamber serves as an advocate for its members on public policy and legislative issues that impact the business community at local, state, and federal levels. GSVACC serves as a liaison and bridges the communication line with elected leaders and policy makers. As an integral partner and stakeholder in the community, GSVACC participates in and offers input on regional issues such as education, human relations, environment, cultural, and governmental affairs.
We also provide Round Table Discussions on topics that are important to members. Topic related guests and practitioners will be invited to participate in discussion and identify solutions.
GSVACC promotes and encourges Community Volunteerism through the different Committee opportunities. Community Leadership Recognition Opportunities are available to members through the annual nomination process to be recognized and awarded for “Best of” categories.
